$48,000,000...what would you do with it?

When I first realized that tonight's jackpot was an estimated $48 million, I immediately started mentally spending and allocating it. [even though I hadn't bought a ticket :)]

This is the largest such jackpot up to this point in our province, or any other surrounding provinces, for that matter.

If I were to buy a ticket, and it so happened that my ticket was the winner, there would be a lot of happy people around who would reap the benefits of such a windfall.

First, I would rent a car hauler [tractor trailer] and load between 6-10 vehicles on it...I might even have to make another trip...1-2 for both my brother [Dodge Ram 4x4] and sister, and the same for my wife's brother and sister, and finally, one for my mom and dad and one for my wife's mom.

Then I would send them each on a month-long trip/cruise of their choice...an alterior motive, of course, so that I can have each of them built a brand new home. I can almost see their faces when they come home, not to their old homes, but to their new ones. Then I would hand them each a bank card with their own new accounts [$500,000 each parent/brother/sister].

I would also write checks out to each of my co-workers [in the meat dept.] and a select few others throughout the store. Probably $50,000-$100,000 to each accordingly.

There are also a few neighbors and people around town who have had a bad run of luck or just haven't been able to get on their feet. These people would also receive a 'small' amount that would brighten their day. [anonymously, of course]

Then I would go visit my pastor and his family. I would buy my pastor a new truck and his wife a new car. I would also give each of the 3 children $10,000. Then I would send them all to Africa to visit his sister...sending a $100,000 check along to help her with her efforts.

Tithes to the church would be $4.8 million, and then the 5% extra to build the new facilities, including a gym, rink, game room/arcade, theater, guys & girls pools, full kitchen, outreach center, 3 new passenger vans [and a soup kitchen/used clothes facility for the less fortunate] and all brand new musical equipment...the $2.4 million should cover it.

Then I would call the best contractor[s] available to build a new home for my family while we are away on our month long trip to Disney, Six Flags, Detroit [Home of the Wings], Alexandria LA, Australia, Florida [and all of it's amusements] and many places in between...

I would also personally go to Italy and pick up my new Lamborghini Reventon [actually have it delivered], the most recent car off of the Lambo assembly line.

Of course, by now I would have ordered my wife that new Volkswagen Beetle she's always wanted, and maybe a Porsche too.

I'll probably acquire a condo in Florida while I'm there, put a few mill in a bank account and invest the rest...

...and that's just to start off with...

*sigh*...one can only dream...:)
